Home and community-based services
New Opportunities Waiver
NOW services may include residential support, respite, community integration and development, work-related supports, habilitation, environmental modifications, specialized equipment, and professional services.
Services are based on individual needs and developed through a person-centered planning process coordinated with the participant’s support team.

ICF/DD Community Homes
Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities provide active treatment in community, group, or residential home settings for people requiring 24-hour support.
Current Louisiana materials may also refer to these services as ICF/IID. Facilities are licensed through the Louisiana Department of Health.
